How were the NLP classes conducted?
Initially, between 1980 and 1999, when the training was done by Richard Bandler, John Grinder, and other Tier 1 NLP trainers (Steve Andreas, Tad James, Robert Dilts, and others), it was a 14-20 day program with the goal of soaking up as much as possible. It used to be more generic in terms of personal change work approaches and models, with less emphasis on modern-day applications.
During the year 2000, all major accreditation agencies shortened entry-level Practitioner programs to a 7-day curriculum. The curriculum objectives have become more explicit, and what used to be covered in 12-14 days is now covered in less time, while still covering all parts of traditional code training. The fundamentals of these programs are better defined now than previously, making training more planned and structured in light of the time constraints that businesspeople face these days. Some trainers looked at making training programs available on videotapes and CDs.
